Are you a MAKER?
We will accept moving in of larger Maker exhibits Friday between 3 p.m.- 8 p.m., and all other Makers anytime Saturday morning between 7 a.m.-10 a.m. Doors open to the public Saturday at 10 a.m.!
Here are some other FAQs for MAKERS:
– Can I pull my car in to unload?
Yes! The entrance to the Maker Faire is on 3rd street. If you’re setting up Friday afternoon between 3-8 p.m., or Saturday before 9 a.m., you may pull your car into the site to unload.
Or, you can park in the Maker Faire parking lot at 220 Eastern Parkway—it’s right behind the J.B. Speed School of Engineering on the U of L campus. We’ll have carts and extra hands available to help you move things to the Maker Faire site. This is where you’ll park during the Faire as well.
– What do I do when I get there?
Stop by the registration booth, which will be at the entrance to the Maker Faire on 3rd Street. We will help you find your table assignment.
– Is the whole event outdoors?
Yes! You’ll be covered under a tent, and chairs will be available. Please bring a water bottle so that you’re comfortable all day.
-Will tents and chairs be provided?
Yes, all makers will be displaying under a tent that Maker Faire Louisville is providing. Chairs are also available.
-Will there be power?
Yes, we will be supplying power.
-Is the event on grass or asphalt?
-Is there a place to hang banners from in the booths?
Some booths are divided up by grates, but there are no guarantees that every booth will receive one.
-What if it rains?
Maker Faire will happen rain or shine. If severe weather becomes a concern, we will send out an email and communicate at the event.
