Robot Games with Team All Systems Go

Join us for fun and games with a robotics twist! Our collection of hands-on activities are designed and built to inspire interest in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Play a game of Soccer-Bots, challenge yourself with Robo-Guess, race our Horse-Bots, and control a competition-style robot featuring a holonomic drive train. We’re looking forward to introducing you to our world of robotics!

University of Louisville KID Lab

We are a Developmental Psychology research lab interested in what children think about the world around them. We have fun, short games for children ages 4 to 12! Come be a kid scientist and help us do science!

FirstBuild

FirstBuild is a destination for makers fueled by a relentless drive to create what’s next. Its free community makerspace is open to the public evenings and Saturdays.

LVL1 Hackerspace

A selection of our Maker/Hacker community’s most exciting projects and creations are on display for you to witness, interact with, and become inspired to foster the joy of making. Ask us how you can get involved to pursue projects of your very own at our community workshop in Butchertown. This year we are showing off a range of individual projects in the fields of electronics, wood/metal working, computers, music,&3D printing; as well as some exciting demos of collaborative hacking and tinkering including a PowerTool Drag Race, NoHoldsBarred Pinewood Derby, Souped up Powerwheels and Alien Autopsy.

Blue Lick Leather – Handcrafted Leather Goods

Established in 2015, Blue Lick Leather is based in Louisville Kentucky. We are a father-daughter company, keeping hand-cut and hand-sewn leather traditions alive. Our aim is to craft beautiful leather products that last generations.

Power Racing Series – LVL1

LVL1’s PRS Teams compete with other city hackerspaces in the Power Racing Series,  building go-karts from scratch by rummaging, recycling, and reimagining kid toys into near-legitimate racing machines. With shoestring budgets and over a decade of shared experiences, teams assemble frames from scrap metal and junkyard finds before equipping new electric drivetrains and fitting Powerwheel bodyshells of their chosen theme. LVL1 is represented by several unique builds. Still appearing on grid are Starz, Bumblebee and latest additions of Starscream and MadMox. Predated by a retired roomba, submarine, firetruck, jeep, and more suspended in our rafters. LVL1 Hackerspace aims to bring you a glimpse into the exciting world of Power Racing and teach you about the opportunity to hack with us!

Hestia

AL is a countertop device and companion app that keeps aging parents and their adult children in each other’s daily lives without either having to check in physically . Most older adults living alone are independent, and run their week. What they lack isn’t supervision but a shared channel. The current substitute is the weekly phone call, answers neither fully trusts.  It answers questions out loud, shows the day’s plan, cycles photos the family sends, and dispenses pre-sorted medication on schedule. The app gives the family the other side: a written summary of the parent’s day, sleep and vitals pulled from wearables she already owns, and one thread where siblings coordinate and act. Between them sits an agent layer that turns signal into something readable in thirty seconds.
