Volunteers help make a Maker Faire!  Around the globe, energetic teams of volunteers drive the magic that make Maker Faires so very amazing. Volunteers will work in shifts, to ensure that you have a chance to enjoy the Faire as an attendee in addition to your volunteer duties.

You’ll get all the critical information you need plus a chance to pick your position(s) at one of our brief volunteer orientation sessions. As a thank you, each volunteer will receive a Special Louisville mini Maker Faire t-shirt, our gratitude, volunteer experience, and new friends.

This is a wonderful chance to meet the areas awesome Makers, socialize and make a difference.

We have a range of roles to fill, including:

SET UP & TEAR DOWN

We need plenty of hands for set up Friday Sept. 9th and early Saturday September 10th. You could be setting up tables, putting up signs, or assisting Makers with their load-in. After the fun for attendees is over, there’s still work to be done and fun to be had. Assist Makers with load out, take down tables, stage equipment, wind cable, clean up.

MAKER ASSISTANCE CREW

Maker Assistance crews make sure the Staff, Makers, and Speakers are well taken care of, bringing food and drink to Staff, being on hand to assist Makers, ensuring Speakers know where to be at the right time and that they have what they need.

CHECK-IN, INFORMATION and MERCHANDISE BOOTHS

You will be greeting folks at the entry, getting signatures on waivers, and putting on wristbands. We will also sell t- shirts, so handling money may be part of your task. Staff will be on-site with you to help.

SOCIAL MEDIA

This position is crucial to the Faire. We need to fill the social media streams with how great LMMF is! The persons for this role are connected to social networks and know how to push tweets and posts from their phone.

VIDEOGRAPHY AND PHOTOGRAPHY

Do you have skills when it comes to photography & videography? This team is an important part of building the legacy of the Louisville Mini Maker Faire and critical to our success for next year and beyond. Your help will be publicized and greatly appreciated.
